Our focus this year is on "giving back to the community". These ideas were ones that the girls came up with during a brainstorming session earlier in the year.
November 19th, 2009 - The girls worked on their manners & greeting during our monthly meeting and then we met and headed to the Boys & Girls Club. We then arranged cookies that we brought on trays and served them to the families. They were having a Thanksgiving dinner and we supplied dessert for them. The girls had a GREAT time!
December 17th, 2009 - The girls went caroling at Bickford Cottage in Ames. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. We even talked with one of the residence that was a Girl Scout leader at one point in her life!
