Eco-Friendly Canvas Bag Service Project
Local Girl Scouts Kate and Haven completed a cool service project as a part of the Eco-Action badge.
They made 11 canvas bags (since they are better than paper or plastic bags) out of left-over materialsfoudn in their
house--complete with a label explaining their project inside. Then they filled the bags with some easy tips on water conservation and flow regulators and dye tablets to seek leaks and handed the complementary bags out to customers at Wheatsfield Grocery and told them about what they had learned. The folks were excited about this project and the Wheatsfield managers have asked them to come back and tell about their project for Earth Day on the 22nd.
