Water Pollution Awareness Activity

Local Girl Scouts were invited to attend the Ames Water Pollution Control Facility Open House on Saturday, September 30, 2006.

Scouts went on a tour of the facility (every step provided a new and awful smell) and then did activities related to storm drains and watersheds. We also spoke with women who hold careers in water treatment and pollution prevention. And of course there were cookies!
